Ben has a highly successful background in sales but is also very adaptable, managing and successfully completing numerous different projects across a broad spectrum of business.
He has always had a passion for working breed dogs and it was whilst looking for help with his first Doberman, that introduced him to Jon Gardner our Head Trainer.
The pair had very similar ideas in terms of dog training , quickly developed a friendship and with Ben’s business acumen a vision for providing a high-quality dog training service.
” Whilst looking for a trainer for my dog I was frustrated by the lack of good professional trainers. The dog industry is pretty much unregulated and that is reflected in the large number of poor training providers in the business. I eventually found Jon and loved his attitude to dog training and the whole ethos surrounding it. Most importantly he got results. Together we were able to blend our expertise and experience into a wider business plan; to provide a professional, results driven dog training service that delivers a high-quality experience for the client from point of contact, through delivery and post training support.”
Platinum K9 was founded and being immersed in dog training allowed Ben to quickly develop as a trainer with a particular interest in family protection dogs. This has given him a passion for Rottweilers as a breed and he is currently sourcing a puppy for his family.
Away from work and dogs, Ben coaches at his local rugby club after playing at a good amateur level before hanging his boots up. A big Leicester Tigers fan, he is particularly proud of Platinum K9’s association with numerous top players in that field.
Ben is an active trainer for Platinum K9 but continues to drive the original vision of the business forward.
“I am really passionate that Platinum K9 is the centre of excellence for dog training in the UK and that we strive to be a bar that other providers measure themselves against”
